I don't think Papa was ever much of a NY Yankees fan, but I have a feeling he'd enjoy this article about Yogi Berra and Ron Guidry, which I believe is on the front page of the NY paper this morning.
If you're interested at all, be sure to skim down far enough to see what Yogi has to say about Guidry's home town.

I should preface this by saying that I didn't even know Yogi Berra was still alive. He represents an Americana of my imagination somewhere just shy of Mark Twain.
He sounds like a hoot though, if he does something one day, he'll do it for the next thousand. If the doctor tells him to take a pill at 9, the bottle is open at 5 to 9. I guess he and Papa would have got along just fine.
